The amount of sunflower seeds in this category has been reduced because sunflower seeds are high in calories. And the amount of oat seed has been increased because oat seed contains electrolytes such as magnesium, phosphorus, and potassium. These electrolytes play a crucial role in the bird’s body hydration and nerve and muscle function.
The Importance of a Balanced Diet for Birds
Any bird is in different conditions at different times of the year.
Sometimes it happens during the breeding season, and birds need a lot of protein and calcium.
Birds are in a resting mode in summer.
Sometimes birds are in the mood to molt.
In colder weather, birds require more calorie-dense food.
For these reasons, we need to change the ratio of our mixed seeds for different environments. So that your birds remain healthy, active, and breed well.
